Your point of entry to Madagascar will most likely be Ivato International Airport (TNR) in the capital city of Antananarivo (Tana). In most cases, your tour operator will pick you up from the airport and handle all onward travel.

Ankarafantsika National Park is 450km/280mi north of Antananarivo and the driving time is about 8 hours*. Alternatively, you can fly into the coastal town of Mahajanga, which is 115km/70mi northwest of the park, and the driving time from there is about 2 hours*.

*Driving times are only a rough indication. You should always consider the possibility of significant delays.
