Augrabies primary claim to fame is the scenic beauty of the Augrabies Falls and the Orange river as well as the fascinatingly rugged desert landscapes of the surrounding countryside. Wildlife sightings are likely to be limited to a few small antelope, rock rabbits, brightly coloured lizards and intensely annoying midges (commonly referred to 'miggies’).

Accommodation it typical National Parks style Chalets and cottages.

It is not a park for wildlife, but for the falls; these are very nice and worth the visit

The weather the day we went was nice and warm and the spray of the water cools you off nicely. Best time to go see the falls is when their was massive rains then the river is full and you can see most of the falls.
To see with what force the water falls down that massive drop is just awesome the noice is thunderous and you don't get to see that everyday.

During our walk on an 5km trail we did not see much wildlife, but the fall is very impressive.
