Awash National Park is located 190km/118mi east of Addis Ababa on the tarred road to Harar. The driving time is about 3 to 4 hours* depending on the traffic in Addis.

All international flights arrive in Addis Ababa at Bole International Airport (ADD). If you’ve booked a tour, your operator will most likely pick you up at the airport and take care of further logistics from there. Another option is to hire a 4x4 in Addis Ababa and drive to Awash National Park yourself.

There are no domestic flights to Awash.
