Bemaraha National Park Best Time To Visit

By Anthony Ham
Anthony is the author of the Lonely Planet guide to Madagascar.

Excellent    Good    Fair    Poor

The road to Bemaraha National Park is impassable in the Wet season, from late November to March. The park and lodges close during this time. April is usually fine for a visit, but many roads may still be in poor shape. The area is very hot, so hiking conditions are best in the cooler months from May to October. July and August offer the coolest conditions, but these are also the busiest months.

Best Time May to October (Best hiking weather)
High Season July and August (Some of the trails get busy)
Low Season November to April (Most hotels are closed)
Best Weather July and August (It is cooler)
Worst Weather December to March (The park closes down)

April to October Dry Season – Winter

November to March Wet Season – Summer

Best Time To Go by Major Park
