There is no bad time to visit Berenty Private Reserve, although the best months are usually from April to October. The sanctuary’s short and easy trails are accessible even during the wettest months (December to March). However, these months can be uncomfortably hot and humid. In April you can see the ring-tailed lemurs ‘stink-fighting’, a ritual where they rub their tails on their scent glands and then waft their smelly tails at each other.
