Berenty Private Reserve Best Time To Visit

By Philip Briggs

Excellent    Good    Fair    Poor

There is no bad time to visit Berenty. The sanctuary is very accessible and trails are short and easy to walk on. The wettest months from December to March tend to be very hot and humid, so most visitors would be more comfortable on either side of that period. In April you can see the ring-tailed lemurs ‘stink-fighting’. This is a ritual where they rub their tails on their scent glands and then waft their smelly tails at each other.

Best Time March to November (Less rain and humidity)
High Season July, August and December holidays (The reserve gets busy)
Low Season January to March (It is less busy)
Best Weather April to October (Mild weather, less rain)
Worst Weather December to March (Wettest months)

April to October Dry Season – Winter

November to March Wet Season – Summer

Best Time To Go by Major Park

Excellent    Good    Fair    Poor
