The climate in Berenty Private Reserve is hot and dry. There is, however, a Wet season from November to March. This is the hottest and most humid time of the year. The cooler Dry season months from April to October are more comfortable.

Dry Season –April to October – Winter

The Dry season is cooler with lower humidity than the Wet season. Rain is rare during these months and the average daytime temperature is 23°C/73°F.

April – It might still be raining at the beginning of April, but it usually dwindles as the month progresses. Afternoons are warm with temperatures reaching 26°C/79°F, but evenings and early mornings are cool at around 15°C/59°F.
May, June, July, August & September – The long Dry season has a mild climate. The coolest month is July with an average maximum of just 21°C/70°F.
October – It gradually warms up to an average daytime temperature of 24°C/75°F. Nights are cooler at 15°C/59°F. Rain is possible toward the end of the month.

Wet Season –November to March – Summer

Conditions are generally hot and humid during the Wet season. It rains regularly but this won’t usually interfere with activities because trails are short and well maintained. Daytime temperatures average 27°C/81°F.

November – This is a shoulder month that marks the beginning of the rains. It warms up a little with daytime temperatures reaching 26°C/79°F.
December, January & February – In December the rainy season really kicks in and it rains most days. It is warm and very humid. Daytime temperatures average 27°C/81°F.
March – The final month of the rainy season. Temperatures remain high and humidity can still be uncomfortable, although rains may start to ease toward the end of the month.
