Moremi Game Reserve is one of Africa’s most exciting wildlife destinations and the only officially protected area within Botswana’s Okavango Delta. It is home to a remarkable array of wildlife, including big cats and all of the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino), though rhino can be hard to see. All of this is framed by the classic Delta landscape of waterways, islands, woodlands and grasslands.

Moremi has some wonderful accommodations. Lodges and camps inside the reserve, and in neighboring areas such as the Khwai Concession, are set on islands and along the shores of rivers and channels. And unlike the rest of the Okavango Delta, where you need to fly into the camps, most places here are accessible to self-drivers. Read on for our list of the best places to stay.

The accommodations below are not ranked in a specific quality order.
