Spectacular national park with lots to see

We spent two nights and three days in Chobe national park. Our park ranger drivers were very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the park. They were very cooperative in allowing us sufficient time for taking pictures. The scenery was gorgeous, especially near the river. The accommodations and food were great. Overall our Chobe experience was amazing!

Unbelievable

During my visit to Chobe national park, i stayed at Chobe Game Lodge, which was truly amazing: the staff was so attentive, everything was milimetrically planned and the only thing you have to worry about is training your eyes to spot the animals among those amazing landscapes.
the chobe river makes this park quite unique, with spectacular sunsets from the cruises, and also gives space to a lot of birds. On the other hand, chobe is the greatest elephant reserve i have ever seen.
Guides at chobe game lodge were really well trained, and it was specially remarkable how the lodge has invested in electric safari cars, which generate no pollution and, whats even better, make almost no noise and do not scare animals away.
Last but not least, food was 10/10 during my stay.

Abundant wildlife next to the beautiful Chobe River

What stood out immediately at Chobe National Park was simply the incredible density of animals in the park. While driving along the bush roads, it was common to see herds of elephants passing by, giraffes galloping alongside the Jeep, or even lions taking a rest. The weather was beautiful, although small amounts of rain were not uncommon. The paths were soft and smooth compared to other parks, making travel fairly quick and comfortable. Wide open vistas allowed not only for easy viewing of impala, zebra, and many other animals, but also provided an ideal backdrop for lunch breaks and pit stops. The proximity to the Chobe River allowed for great opportunity to see animals and many birds in a new environment. Overall, Chobe National Park is an amazing park that guarantees fun for whatever animals, birds, or landscapes you may seek.

For the part of Chobe we were in, I think 3 stars is almost on the generous side for "bush vibe". It is pretty crowded with game drive vehicles and you can find yourself stuck in a long parade of them, although our driver took pains to try & get us out & away from the others. But with so many vehicles in the area, it didn't really give us much of a "bush vibe", which to us infers a sense of being out somewhat alone in the wilderness. When lions were spotted next to the road, it was a positive gridlock of traffic, all elbowing to get a vantage point. As cool as it was to see lions, the circus atmosphere of what had to have been 10 game drive vehicles surrounding them, took a little bit of an edge off the thrill of seeing them.

Chobe National Park has the greatest concentration of elephants along with multiple of the species of mammals, birds, and reptiles that are easy to approach from the boat

It was an incredible day, full of magic, I was impressed to see so many elephants in their natural habitat, being so authentic and happy. I was happy to see so many colorful birds. I would have liked to have seen more cats (I only saw a lioness), I think there are more cats missing. The guide should know more about birds, he knew a lot about animals and interesting facts, but he lacked a bit more of that information. I loved the safari. Thank you very much

This was my first ever wildlife experience in Botswana and can proudly say I wasn't let down. The morning game drive went well, backed by the clear skies and a glorious sunset. We encountered a few wild animals like Elephants, Lions, Monkeys, Kudus, Kobs, Impalas, Zebras, and so much more. My mission was to take as many photos as I can, and these are giving me remarkable flashbacks whenever I look at them... I stayed at Chobe Marina Lodge near the waterfront thus giving me fantastic views of the mighty Chobe River and the Namibian territory across. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and approachable. I felt at ease and explored without limits for the four days I was in Kasane the gateway to Chobe National Park.
