Johannesburg to Gecko Lodge Transfer & Kruger Park Sunset Safari

Departure takes place from OR Tambo International airport in Johannesburg by shuttle to Gecko Lodge - A charming country lodge in Hazyview, a short 15 kms from the Kruger Park, providing the perfect gateway to explore the entire Kruger region, where you will stay for the duration of your safari.

Gecko Lodge offers cosy and comfortable rooms, ensuite with, ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities and satellite TV. Amenities include, wifi, swimming pool, bar and onsite restaurant.

After check-in, we depart in the early afternoon for your first safari in the Kruger National Park, this safari takes you into Kruger in the late afternoon/ early evening when the animals begin to get active again after the mid-day heat, maximising your viewing potential, you’ll be able to enjoy the natural environment in an open safari vehicle with a professional nature guide before returning to your accommodation to enjoy an authentic African inspired menu specially prepared by the lodges local chef.

Full Day Safari in the Kruger National Park

Experience the beauty and wildlife of Kruger National Park on a full day safari. Your adventure begins as you enter Orpen gate, head out into the vast savannah in search of the Big Five and other wildlife.

Your knowledgeable guide will take you on a journey through the different ecosystems of the park, and you'll have the chance to see a wide variety of animals and birds in their natural habitat.

After ample game viewing time, we stop for a delicious breakfast, before continuing your safari, where you'll have several opportunities to spot wildlife and take photos along the way.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch break in the park taking in the beautiful scenery while recharging your energy. After lunch, you'll continue your safari, looking out for the animals, with great chances of spotting the big five, and other animals such as giraffe, zebra, and a variety of bird species.

Return for dinner at the lodge in the late afternoon, with memories of a truly unforgettable day in the African bush.

Morning Safari in Kruger & Transfer Back to Johannesburg

On your final day, you will enjoy a sunrise safari in Kruger Park. This safari will also take place in the most animal-rich area of the Kruger, with an expert nature guide in an open safari vehicle, providing an uninterrupted game viewing experience.

It gives you maximum exposure to the Kruger National Park over your 3 days on safari. Breakfast will be prepared and packaged by the hotel to be enjoyed during your safari in the Kruger.

After your sunrise Kruger safari, you will meet your shuttle, which will transfer you safely back to O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Departing with a lifetime of amazing memories of an unforgettable Kruger Park safari in the African savanna.
