Lanseria Airport Pickup and Pilanesberg Sunset Safari

Pickup is at Lanseria Airport about 90 minutes drive from Pilanesberg. Journey with our expert guide through one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and past the worlds richest platinum mines to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve situated inside the remains of a 2 billion year old volcano. Pilanesberg has thousands of all the iconic animals of Africa including the Big 5.

Our unique private extended game drive in our 4x4 SUV's goes further into the park than the Open Safari Vehicles. It is 5 hours+ long. Lodge game drives are only 3 hours long and stop once at the waterholes and dams at the special viewing points if at all. On the Mmilo extended drive we get out and walk at these safe spots many times.

You can choose your preference for timing and choice on day 1 or day 2. Before check in at a lodge we will have lunch on the open dining terrace overlooking the game reserve and waterhole nearby where animals come to drink.
The game drive will continue until sunset/park closing.

Pilanesberg Dawn Safari and return to Lanseria Airport

Arise early and after coffee and rusks (traditional South African pre-safari fare) depart for Pilanesberg Reserve with a packed picnic breakfast supplied by the hotel for another magnificent day on safari. There are many viewpoints and hides next the dams and watersources where you will stop to stretch your legs and picnic your breakfast and view crocs and hippos in and out of the water, others coming to drink and many birds too. It is all about giving you the maximum opportunity to have a memorable and enjoyable safari within your time frame. Our format with our private SUV and guide is the best way to do this. You cannot predict what animals you will see as this is a wildplace and the animals roam free and of course the big cats hunt everything. You will have lunch and a rest later in front of the waterhole watching the animals come and go. After about 7-8 fruitful hours in the Pilanesberg on safari you will depart the reserve at about 3.00pm for Lanseria Airport.
