You'll be picked up from the agreed point in Dar es Salaam in the morning and proceed to Nyerere National Park. The journey will take 3 to 4 hours. On arrival, a hot lunch will be served at the hotel. You will then have a sunset boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. This will bring you close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife. Animals make their way to the river to drink, and boats may approach elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, waterbuck, and other game on the river banks within a few meters. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches, and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.
Dinner and overnight will be at Nyerere Green Lodge, a new accommodation at Mloka Village with full AC and a hot shower.

Enjoy Game drive at Nyerere National Park
You will have a full day in the Nyerere National Park exploring the reserve in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. This will give you good photographic opportunities and allow you to explore different sections of the vast park. Nyerere National Park is the largest in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometres. Nyerere is famous for its elephant, but lion, wild dog, buffalo, bushbuck, impala, eland, baboon, zebra, and greater kudu are commonly seen. It was initially set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant. Evening drive back to your accommodation for shower and dinner.

Wilderness Walking Safari -Maasai Visit and Back to Dar es Salaam
In the morning, before breakfast, there will be a 2-hour wilderness walking safari with the guidance of an armed ranger. Walking safaris give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wild and offer you a good chance of seeing giraffes, zebra, elephants, and good birding. Drive back to your accommodation for a shower and breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Maasai Village, a cultural tourism site. Here, you will have a chance to learn about this famous and old tribe in East Africa. Meet the family chief, who will guide you through the village. After this tour, you will drive back to the hotel for a hot lunch, then leave the area and drive back to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive between 4 and 5 pm for drop-off at the hotel of your choice, the ferry station, or the airport.
