Serengeti offers an authentic and idyllic wilderness safari and is home to the largest animal migration on the planet. Big herds of animals to be seen here include elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topi, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and many more. Day 4

Serengeti/Ngorongoro

Early breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro Crater for whole day game drive with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is the largest intact caldera in the world and shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens anywhere in the world. Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World and hosts the most unique ecosystem on earth with 20,000 large grazing mammals and the largest concentration of predators. Here, grass steppes and acacia forests are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African savannah. In only a few hours, you have the chance of spotting the "Big 5": Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Later drive to Karatu for overnight at Octagon Lodge.

Lake Manyara-Arusha

Lake Manyara-Arusha

Breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park which is set between the Rift Valley's western escarpment and the shallow alkaline waters of Lake Manyara. Enjoy whole morning day game drive in the park which is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans, cormorants and tree-climbing lions. Apart from a great variety of birds, mammals in the park include wildebeests, zebras, bushbucks, waterbucks, tiny Kirk's dik-diks, hippos, giraffes, leopards, baboons and troops of noisy blue monkey. After lunch depart for Arusha arriving late afternoon.
