Your adventure begins as soon as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Here you will be picked up by a driver who will then transport you to the guesthouse (a fifteen-minute drive from the airport). Here you can relax or, depending on your arrival time, spend some time exploring before settling in for a good night’s sleep.

Day 2-3

Rhino Tracking and Trasfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After your first night in Uganda, it is time to begin your journey. You will set off at 6:00 am with your first stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you will be able to see the white rhino. The drive from Entebbe to Ziwa takes about three hours. After rhino tracking, you will go for lunch and then continue to Kidepo Valley National Park.

The next day starts early at around 6:00 am. You will start the walking safari at 7:00 am with an armed guide. The hike will take two to three hours. After the hike, you will have lunch at the lodge. The afternoon will be spent spotting wildlife during a game drive.

Day 4

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will have breakfast and experience a short game drive when exiting the park. Then you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch will be en route in Gulu. At the end of the afternoon, you will arrive at the gate which is roughly one and a half hours to the lodge. During this drive, you will probably spot the first wildlife.

The day starts at 7:00 am. The first destination is the river delta game drive. The game drive will take two to three hours.
After lunch, you will drive to the docks where you will board a boat to explore the banks of the River Nile on your way to the foot of the Mighty Falls! The cruise takes about three hours.

Day 6-7

Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park

The journey from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park is long but beautiful. The road passes through the greenest hills you have ever seen with truly breathtaking views. After checking in at the resort, you will have time to relax and prepare for your early morning hike to see the chimpanzees.

The tracking will start early and takes about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimps. After the trek, you will go back to the resort for lunch and then visit Bigodi Swamp. This is a beautiful area in the rainforest with an abundance of animals including monkeys, birds and forest elephants.

After this intensive day in the forest, you will go back to the resort.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is your next destination. This is a huge park where wildlife and people coexist in harmony. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Here you will see very many different bird species and large mammals. After the boat ride, you will spend the night at the Bush Lodge, which sits on the shores of the Kazinga Channel.

After a game drive in the Southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park—Ishasha—it is time to move to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the famous mountain gorillas. You will check in at the lodge and prepare for yet another highlight of this amazing trip: tracking mountain gorillas!

Today starts early. First, you will be briefed by the rangers, after which you will be appointed a group for tracking. The tracking can take several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. The hike itself is spectacular and takes you through the dense rainforest and up steep hills. Once you have found the gorillas, you will get to spend one hour with them. Then it is time to go back to the lodge and share the experience with your friends!

Day 12-13

Transfer to Lake Mutanda and Golden Monkey Tracking in Mgahinga National Park

Lake Mutanda is one of the highest lakes in Africa. It is also one of the only lakes around where you can swim safely. Here, you will have time to relax, swim, go for a ride in a local canoe or just sit by the side of the pool and read a book! For those who would like to do a village walk or visit one of the indigenous tribes, it is possible to organize a visit with the local Batwa people.

On the next day, you will enjoy a golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park. The tracking takes three to four hours. The afternoon is spent at leisure.
