2 travelers on Start dateArusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will depart from Arusha for a roughly two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, we will pass vibrant Masai villages and the vast, iconic plains synonymous with African landscapes.
Once we enter Tarangire, we will embark on a game drive across a sweeping expanse of golden savannah surrounding the Tarangire River. This river flows year-round and serves as a crucial water source for the local wildlife during the Dry season. Flanked by acacia and baobab trees, the river is a frequent gathering spot for the park's substantial elephant population, as well as other herbivores like zebras and antelopes.
During our journey through the park, we will keep an eye out for lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, and a diverse array of antelope species. With any luck, we may even catch a glimpse of endangered animals, such as the greater kudu or the fringe-eared oryx.
After the game drive, we will return to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
