Day 1

Start the safari with a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park in the morning and aim to have lunch in Fort Portal. If you arrive the day before, a night at a hotel can be added. Some stopovers in the countryside offer us chances to stretch. We'll see villages and tea plantations along the drive. We will arrive in the late evening for check-in. Spend the night in a beautiful area close to a crater lake bordering Kibale Forest.

Day 2
Chimp trekking experience
Chimp trekking experience
Kibale Forest National Park is a rainforest and home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. During your morning chimp trekking experience in the jungle, you will see them up close and capture shots of our closest cousins in their exciting moods as they groom each other. Besides the chimps, 9 different species of monkeys are found in this forest, including red colobus, red-tailed monkey and bush baby. In the forest canopy, you will see beautifully colored butterflies and various bird species like the native, great blue turaco, greenbul, olive long-tailed cuckoo and the superb black bee-eater.
After the trek, we start the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We drive further south with the Rwenzori ranges (the longest in Africa) in view or drive through the crater lakes in the hills to sample out the surprising diversity of savannah trees and wildlife! We reach the lodge and enjoy the impressive view over Queen Elizabeth National Park as we relax and reset our stress levels to zero.

Day 3

Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning air. We go for an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals like members of the Big 5 including elephants and buffalos, and big cats like lions and leopards. Along the circuit, spot warthogs, hyenas and many more species that are residents of this park. There is also a rich birdlife, especially our version of storks in the wetland as we reach the flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch, it is time for the 3 pm boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which lasts 2 hours. Here, you have the chance to spot hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and more along the banks of the channel.

Day 4

Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi. This area is known for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis and elephants and hopefully spot lions in the fig tree branches.
Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. You will experience a change in the landscape from flat savannah via cultivated hills to jungle-covered mountains. If we arrive early, we can do a walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans Group performers.

Have an early breakfast and get ready for the highlight of this safari. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to the forest giants - the mountain gorillas - and today you get to meet them. You will set off into the forest with a specialized guide, trek through beautiful nature and finally get to spend an hour in the area where the mountain gorillas are. Besides the gorillas, this impenetrable forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species as well as forest hogs, forest elephants, sitatungas and duikers. After the trek, we transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 6
Transfer to Entebbe
Transfer to Entebbe
Have an early breakfast and embark on the drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator and lunch in Masaka. Drive back through to Kampala or Entebbe. You can have a late-evening flight or add a night to fly out the next day.
