Nairobi - Masai Mara

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel early in the morning and taken to the nearby Wilson Airport. You will board a light aircraft and depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

Your Shadows of Africa driver will meet you in the park when you land, taking you to your lodge to drop off your belongings via the scenic route so you do not waste a second of your time there.

Enjoy lunch at the lodge and unwind before heading back out into the reserve for an afternoon game drive.

Wake up at dawn to witness a sunrise in the Masai Mara. As the sun rises on the savannah, you can watch predators such as leopards and lions out on the hunt while the air is still cool.

Alternatively, you can take to the skies with an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. You will soar over the savannah at dawn before settling down on the plains for a champagne breakfast out among the animals.

After a late breakfast, you will have the choice to either relax at your lodge until lunch and then head out into the park or take a picnic lunch and head out into the park for a day of discovery as you track the movements of the seasonal wildebeest migration (seasonal) or go in search of the Big Five.
