Your journey begins with a transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport at 7:40 am. Brace yourself for a 7-hour expedition, our guides greet you around 2:30 pm in Phalaborwa, a charming town bordering Kruger. Indulge in a personal lunch at a local restaurant before we head to the entrances of Kruger National Park.

We access Kruger through the Phalaborwa Gate, on a leisurely drive to Letaba, our initial camp. This safari drive traverses Mopani and Bushwillow woodlands – ideal locations for encountering elephants and buffalo. Prepare for your first spectacular wildlife sighting. Upon arrival at Letaba around 6:00 pm, check-in, settle in, and relax while enjoying the sunset by the Letaba River.

Letaba Camp, nestled on the riverbanks with breathtaking views. The camp offers a Park Shop, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and The Great Elephant Hall – a museum dedicated to Kruger’s most colossal elephants.

We begin with an early sunrise drive along the Letaba River. Our route takes us east, exploring an area with a large pride of lions. We’ll return to camp for a hearty breakfast, as we journey further south towards our next destination, Satara.

Heading to Satara, the landscape transforms into open savannah grasslands, creating a perfect habitat for large herds of grazing animals like Zebra and Wildebeest. Upon reaching Satara, savor a prepared lunch, providing time to unwind before heading on an afternoon drive in the surrounding area.

Satara is a hotspot for grazing animals, promising excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The camp features a waterhole just outside where animals can be spotted even from the camp.

Today we will meet for some coffee early in the morning and then go out for a sunrise safari drive, following the winding rivers as they head east and we will search the lower branches of the giant trees for any resting or feeding leopards. We also hope to see some elephant and white rhino and if we are very lucky we could spot a rare black rhino in this area. We will stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast in the bush and return to camp in the late morning.

The area receives the highest rainfall of Kruger national Park and this in turn allows for stunning riverine forests to grow along the rivers. It is the perfect area for elephant and leopard and the area boasts the highest concentration of Rhino in the park.

This afternoon we will take you out on a safari drive in search for some amazing animals that live in the Berg en Dal area.
We will return to camp at sunset, start preparing dinner and enjoy the sounds of the African bush by the warm fire.
