Winelands | Start of the Little Karoo
We begin our journey by taking a leisurely trip through the famous Cape Winelands, stopping over to sample some of the great wines and for a fantastic lunch. We continue over majestic mountain passes to arrive at the Little Karoo, on a different kind of game farm amongst the peace and quiet of the Karoo atmosphere.
- Leave Cape Town in the morning 09h00
- Drive out through the Winelands of the Cape & majestic passes
- Take lunch in Franschhoek (at own expense), and time spent walking around this historic town, full of art galleries and boutique shops
- Drive out to the beginning of the Little Karoo
- Spend the evening on a reserve (with Giraffe, Zebra, Cheetah, & many antelope species)

Oudtshoorn | Ostriches & Wines
We travel along the famous Route 62, one of the longest routes in South Africa. It threads its way through the Little Karoo, an area dependent on water, surrounded by incredible mountains, some of the best passes in the country, and a region well known for its port and wines.
DAY 2
- Take a morning game drive on the reserve spotting animals
- Enjoy a hearty breakfast, before heading off along the Route 62
- We stop over for wine tasting and lunch in Calitzdorp
- Journey on to the outskirts of Oudtshoorn
- Explore the oldest Ostrich Farm
- Enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant (own expense)

Cango Caves | Magestic Passes | Karoo
Explore the Little Karoo, a more arid but nonetheless spectacular region famous for unique wine farms, ostriches, an abundance of animals and the special Cango Caves. We also take a trip back in time by staying at the quaint village of Matjiesfontein, where old English hospitality and style awaits us.
DAY 3
- Enjoy a hearty breakfast
- Drive out to the Cango Caves and explore them
- Take a drive through the majestic Swartberg Pass, taking lunch én route
- Drive through the Karoo to the quaint village of Matjiesfontein
- We stay at a unique old hotel, where dinner is enjoyed in the dining room (at own expense)

From here we travel a different route back to Cape Town, moving further through the mountains and into the Karoo, a large swathe of ancient landscape where the silence and stars are the best in South Africa.

- Enjoy a breakfast at the Hotel
- Take some time to explore the village
- Take a long scenic drive through Anysberg Nature Reserve, a World Heritage Site
- Lunch in Anysberg
- Afternoon drive back to Cape Town
