Hermanus | Whale Watching
We begin our journey by leisurely traveling along the Cape Coastline, admiring the magnificent scenery and being on the lookout for whales (in season). We then spend our time exploring the quaint seaside town of Hermanus, steeped in history and full of modern attractions like great restaurants, shopping, scenic walks and great people.

We take a trip across the Cape Fold Mountains, which have some of the country's most scenic mountain passes. We then explore the Little Karoo, a more arid but nonetheless spectacular region famous for unique wine farms, ostriches, an abundance of animals (some of the Big Five), and the special Cango Caves.

We enjoy a peaceful day around the dam, with many optional activities on offer such as hiking, canoeing, and a visit to one of the many Bushmen paintings in the area. The tranquility of the setting is perfect for just doing nothing, too!

From here, we travel a different route back to Cape Town, moving further through the mountains and into the Karoo, a large swathe of an ancient landscape where the silence and stars are the best in South Africa.

- Finish in the quaint town of Matjiesfontein and the Lord Milner Hotel
