Day 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will welcomed by our mountain guide who will usher you into a waiting vehicle and transfer you to Gold Crest in Arusha. Our tour coordinator will have a short climb briefing session with you at the hotel and leave you to relax at the hotel (BB) booked. We will gather in the evening for a before-climb briefing and an equipment check.

Day 2

Machame Gate to Machame Hut (Full Board)

The climb starts from Machame Gate (1830m). You'll walk through the lush lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. Slowly gaining altitude while enjoying the diverse flora and fauna of the rain forest, you will arrive at the first Machame Hut, situated at 3000m above sea level.
If it is a clear day, you may get your first closer look at the glaciated dome of Kibo if the evening clouds permit.
Machame Gate to Machame Hut (3,000 m): 6-7 hours walking.

Day 3

Machame Camp to Shira Camp (Full Board)

This will be a shorter day climbing up a steep ridge to reach a small semicircular cliff known as the Picnic site. You'll continue up a gentler ascent through the lower alpine moorland, which is known for beautiful wild alpine flowers. The most spectacular views of Kibo Peak can be seen from Shira Camp.

Shira Camp to Barranco Valley (Full Board)

Today, you'll walk on a gentle ascent and panoramic views. You'll traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach. After a hot lunch at the bottom of the Lava Tower (4,600 m), you will descend to the bottom of the Great Barranco Valley (3,900 m).
Shira Camp to Barranco valley (3,900 m): 5-7 hours walking.

A steep climb up the eastern wall leads you just below the Heim Glacier, where you may have some spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. You'll then take a steep exit up the Great Barranco Wall, which divides you from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, the trail continues down into the alpine desert of the Karanga Valley. Finally, you will have a steep climb up to Karanga Camp. Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,000 m): 4-5 hours walking.

A steep climb out of Karanga, and an easy path on compacted scree with wide views through this empty and dry landscape up to Barafu Camp. The two peaks Kibo and Mawenzi can be seen from Barafu Camp. After a hot lunch at the camp, the remainder of the day is spent resting as you prepare for the final ascent before an early night summit walk. Day 7

Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp (Full Board)

You'll wake up before midnight in the cover of darkness. You'll begin a steep climb over loose volcanic scree has some well-graded zig-zags and a slow but steady pace will take you to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point, at 5,735m. We will rest there for a few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling good can continue slowly to make the two-hour round trip from here along the crater rim to the main peak (5,895 m), which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment, you will descend to Barafu amazingly fast. You'll stop at Barafu Camp for some refreshments. You will continue to descend to reach Mweka Camp.

A gentle walk takes you down through the rainforest of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro to Mweka Gate. Successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. After lunch, you will drive back to Arusha where you can overnight ready for the next day adventure.

Day 9

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart at 7:30 am for Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils 50 km long and in some places 90 meters deep. It drains the slopes of the nearby mountains plus human and animal ancestors dating back almost two million years. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon carved by water through the southern part of the Serengeti Plain. The gorge is about the Serengeti Plain. Its chief claim to fame is the rich treasure trove of human and animal fossils that it has yielded. Your meals and overnight stay will be at Robin Serengeti Safari Camp.

This day after breakfast at 7:00 am, we will take your packed lunch for a full day of game drives in the wilderness tracking the great migration trails. A thorough explanation of this great world event that Tanzania is proud of will be provided. In the evening as the sun goes down, you will drive back for dinner and overnight stay. Today, you'll start very early at 7:00 AM with a packed picnic lunchbox, traveling from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater. You will explore the Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding area, one of the most stunning landscapes in the world, where you can admire the dormant volcano and the nature that surrounds it. In the conservation area, you'll enjoy great wildlife diversity, and it will be possible to see the Big Five: elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and rhinos. You will have lunch down in the crater, take a brief refreshment, and then begin your journey to Arusha for an overnight stay at Green Mountain Hotel.
