Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your tour starts with a drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro. Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for the annual migration. This is when six million hooves, not only wildebeest but also zebra and gazelle, march as one in search of fresh grazing. Even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers scintillating game viewing. You'll see great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and gazelles. Later you will drive to your lodge for your overnight rest.

Day 3

Arusha

Arusha

After breakfast, you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its 2000 ft high walls, very few animals migrate in and out of the crater. As a result, Ngorongoro Crater has remained to have the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. You might expect to see the ‘Big Five’ in one day.
Afterward, you will drive out of the park to Arusha for your flight back home or Zanzibar extension. You will arrive in Arusha late in the evening.
