The safari officially begins in Maun, Botswana. The Bushbaby Calls team is happy to assist with pre-tour arrangements such as accommodation and transfers from the airport or Maun, Botswana if required. Upon arrival in Maun, your guide will give you a full safari briefing and take you shopping for your safari snacks. The first highlight of your safari will be a transfer to the mokoro station where you will enjoy the sunset on a mokoro cruise in the Okavango Delta. Camp will be setup in The Okavango Delta at a campsite with bush toilets and showers.

Day 2

You will start your day with an early morning mokoro sunrise cruise thereafter, you will embark on an early morning walk to follow the fresh tracks of animals heading towards the river for their morning drink. After the morning activity, you will travel back to the camp for lunches and rest until the afternoon when you will go for an afternoon sunset walk and mokoro cruise along the Okavango Delta.

Day 3
Moremi Game Reserve (Xakanaka)

You will rise with the sun and head west towards the boat station, where you will meet your safari guide who will travel with you to Moremi Game reserve in the Xakanaka area. Here, you will spend three nights partaking in some adventurous activities.

Day 4

Following the early morning, you will visit the different parts of Xakanaka to observe the animals that roam in this area. In the afternoon, you will embark on a sundowner game drive on the plains of the Xakanaka areas. Xakanaxa is renown for its big lagoons and notoriously big game. It is situated inside the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, which is rated as an excellent game viewing area.

Day 5

At daybreak, you will be driven to the edge of the Okavango Delta, a special corner of paradise where you will embark on a boat cruise for two hours. In the afternoon, your safari guide will take you on a game drive where you will explore the landscapes of the Xakanaka area.

Day 6

Inspired by the beauty of Xakanaka, you will travel east to Khwaii, on the outskirts of the Moremi Game Reserve. On this part of your safari, you will spend three nights going for game drives in this animal-rich area of the Moremi Game Reserve. There is an option to engage in a safari walk for an extra fee charge.

On this morning, you will embark on an early morning game drive in the Khwai area to explore and observe the vast animals and birds of this area. You will partake in the same activity in the afternoon in a different part of Khwai. The Khwai area is situated by a community and wildlife. The Khwai community is an inspirational example of a local community that lives in peaceful harmony with wildlife.

As you continue in your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Khwaii where elephants dot the plains. You will then head northwards to the Khwaii river where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. The camp will be set up in private designated areas with bush ablutions.

Day 9

At dawn, you will embark on a morning game drive. Thereafter, you will travel to Savuti with your tour guide, where you will spend three nights engaging in game drives within the Savuti marsh and visiting water holes where the animals go for their routine drinks. You will also visit the Savuti hills adorned in rock paintings.

On this day in the morning after breakfast, you will travel to other parts of the Savuti area in search of wild animals and birds of this region. In this area, you can expect to get the full action of the lion pride, bringing down a fully grown elephant for a feast. You will later go for a sundowner on the flat plains of the Savuti marsh.

This day will be the last day of the Savuti safari; therefore, you will visit the rock painting hills and the leopard rocks while in search of the Savuti pride. You will also visit the waterholes to witness what happens during the afternoon rush hour at the drinking spots as the animal rushes to get their last drink of the day.

On the morning of this day, you will travel to the Kasane township to check in to a lodge and wind up the tour with a sunset boat cruise in the mighty Chobe River which borders Namibia and Botswana. On the boat cruise you will watch as the animals wait by the riverbanks as they go for their routine drink.

In the morning you will go for a game drive at the Chobe National Park where you will encounter the full experience of the African big 5. Thereafter, you will head back to the campsite to have breakfast and rest in preparation for the late afternoon activity; you will choose either a game drive or a boat cruise.
