Day 1

The safari officially begins in Maun, Botswana. The Bushbaby Calls team is happy to assist with pre-tour arrangements such as accommodation and transfers from the airport or Maun, Botswana if required. Upon arrival in Maun, your guide will give you a full safari briefing and take you shopping for your safari snacks. The first highlight of your safari will be a transfer to the mokoro station where you will enjoy the sunset on a mokoro cruise in the Okavango Delta. Camp will be setup in The Okavango Delta at a campsite with bush toilets and showers.

Day 2

Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta

You will start your day with an early morning mokoro sunrise cruise thereafter, you will embark on an early morning walk to follow the fresh tracks of animals heading towards the river for their morning drink. After the morning activity, you will travel back to the camp for lunches and rest until the afternoon when you will go for an afternoon sunset walk and mokoro cruise along the Okavango Delta.

You will rise with the sun and head west towards the boat station, where you will meet your safari guide who will travel with you to Moremi Game reserve in the Xakanaka area. Here, you will spend three nights partaking in some adventurous activities.

Following the early morning, you will visit the different parts of Xakanaka to observe the animals that roam in this area. In the afternoon, you will embark on a sundowner game drive on the plains of the Xakanaka areas. Xakanaxa is renown for its big lagoons and notoriously big game. It is situated inside the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, which is rated as an excellent game viewing area.

Inspired by the beauty of Xakanaka, you will travel east to Khwaii, on the outskirts of the Moremi Game Reserve. On this part of your safari, you will spend three nights going for game drives in this animal-rich area of the Moremi Game Reserve. There is an option to engage in a safari walk for an extra fee charge.

On this morning, you will embark on an early morning game drive in the Khwai area to explore and observe the vast animals and birds of this area. You will partake in the same activity in the afternoon in a different part of Khwai. The Khwai area is situated by a community and wildlife. The Khwai community is an inspirational example of a local community that lives in peaceful harmony with wildlife.

As you continue in your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Khwaii where elephants dot the plains. You will then head northwards to the Khwaii river where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. On this day in the morning after breakfast, you will travel to other parts of the Savuti area in search of wild animals and birds of this region. In this area, you can expect to get the full action of the lion pride, bringing down a fully grown elephant for a feast. You will later go for a sundowner on the flat plains of the Savuti marsh.
