Travel to Murchison Falls National Park - Visit the Top of Murchison Falls

Upon arrival and briefing by our company representative, your three-day Murchison Falls program will start with a six-hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch en route in Masindi before continuing the drive out of Masindi town to the national park. After clearance at the park entry, the trip will begin.

As you drive, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape and occasionally see warthogs and other wildlife. The top offers breathtaking sightings, with about 300 to 400 cubic meters per second of water forcing through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters (22 feet) to plunge into a violent tempest in a whirlpool about 42 meters (140 feet) below. It is a beautiful sight, offering incredible photo opportunities!

Morning Game Drive Through the Park - Boat Ride on the Victoria Nile

After having breakfast, our driver-guide and game ranger will pick you up for an early game drive. You will explore the major game trails around the area of Paraa, where you can spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbuck, Jackson's hartebeest, and hopefully the elusive leopards.

Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, we will take you on a boat ride on the Victoria Nile, the highlight of any Murchison Falls safari. This will allow you to spot many animals up close, including hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, and other animals coming to drink water or eat the fresh grass along the river banks.

Game Drive Through the Park - Return to Kampala

In the morning, wake up early and prepare for another game drive through the park. You can expect to increase your game count and spot more wildlife. At around 11:00am, check out of the lodge and drive to Masindi town for lunch. After lunch, embark on an exciting journey back to Kampala, arriving late in the evening. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight home.
