Dar es Salaam - Gombe National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and driven to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma. Upon arrival, you will be taken to Ujiji village, where you will visit the Doctor Livingstone Memorial Center. Then, you will be taken to Kibirizi Port for your boat ride to Gombe National Park. You will be picked up and driven to the Tanapa Rest House for a hot lunch. Then, you go out for an evening chimpanzee trek in the forest.

Gombe Stream’s main attraction is the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests, including colobus monkey, baboon, forest pig, dik-dik, and various tropical birds. Dinner and your overnight stay are provided at Tanapa Rest House.

Gombe National Park

After an early breakfast, you will take off for an amazing morning of chimpanzee trekking in the forest. You will also visit Kakombe Waterfalls, which is among the best attractions in the park. If time allows, you can climb Jane's Peak, where you will have a chance to enjoy a view of the park. Meals and your overnight stay are provided at Gombe Rest House.

Gombe to Kigoma

After an early breakfast, you will go chimpanzee trekking in different valleys, walking in the forest, and visiting the Mkenge Water Wall. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge for lunch, pack your stuff and transfer back to Kigoma town in the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Lake Tanganyika Beach Hotel.
