You'll start off your journey by checking into the Federal Air Lounge at Johannesburg Airport, where you can enjoy a refreshment before boarding your scheduled flight directly to Madikwe Game Reserve. On arrival at Madikwe Airstrip, you will be met and transferred to the Lelapa lodge where you will spend the next three nights.

Day 2-3
Game Drives at Madikwe Game Reserve

Enjoy both daily dawn and dusk game drives to ensure that you get the most out of your safari experience. The Big Five are all present in Madikwe Game Reserve, as well as many species of birds, antelope and other mammals; including the endangered African Wild Dogs and Cheetah.
As an alternative to game viewing in the safari vehicle, you can also experience a walking safari. Being on foot in the African bushveld is an adrenaline pumping experience that will afford you the opportunity to take in the finer details. It is an experience that truly awakens the senses being fully immersed in nature, being able to smell, hear and physically touch the surroundings. You are literally walking in the animals’ footsteps!

Day 4
Flight to Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Flight to Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Today you depart Madikwe Game Reserve and head to another equally special reserve, the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. You will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Sabi Sands Reserve. On arrival at Ulusaba Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from Savanna Lodge for your transfer to the lodge where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Savanna Lodge lies in an area where 'Big Five' sightings are frequent, whilst not guaranteed, it is not unusual to see lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino in a single game drive. There are specially designed game viewing vehicles and highly trained guides with vast knowledge of the African bushveld. We will take you on intimate encounters with a large variety of wildlife.
