Drive to Nyerere NP(Selous GR)+ Sunset Boat Safari

Our professional driver driver will pick you up from your hotel or the airport at 06h00. Then drive to Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve, which is approximately 180km from Dar Es Salaam, It will take about four hours. You’ll arrive at Selous Kinga Lodge in time for lunch. Later, at around 16h00 you’ll leave for a Sunset Boat Safari along the Great Rufiji River(Largest and longest river in Tanzania). This amazing cruise usually lasts about two hours. Awesome views of hippos growling, crocodiles basking on the banks and the abundant birdlife will spice up your spectacular dusk!

After a full breakfast, you will drive into the vast Selous Game Reserve to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas are quite common. Selous is also quite famous for having many African wild dogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point while taking in the beautiful scenery and watching wildlife in their natural habitat.

Full Day Game Drive in the vast Selous Game Reserve

After a full breakfast, you will drive into the vast Selous Game Reserve to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas are quite common. Selous is also quite famous for having many African wild dogs.

On this specific day your driver-guide will drive you to the most wonderful place called Beho Beho Chemka hot spring where by you can relax and refresh your body by swimming, but visiting the hot spring will depend on the the accessibility of the road since during rainy season its a bit difficult for vehicles to go there due to the roads being very muddy.

Enjoy a picnic lunch break from a safe vantage point while taking in the beautiful scenery and watching wildlife in their natural habitat. In the evening drive back to the lodge for rest, dinner & overnight

Walking Safari + Cultural Village Tour + Drive to Dar Es Salaam

After morning tea or coffee, you’ll depart the lodge and make your way around the reserve for an educative Walking Safari accompanied by an armed ranger. The Park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. After that, you’ll head back to the lodge for a full breakfast. Later, you’ll leave for an eye-opening Cultural Village Tour with ample time to relax after lunch. You’ll then check out at 14h00 and begin the drive back to Dar Es Salaam. On arrival at around 18h00, our driver will drop you off at your hotel or airport within the city.
