Day 1

This safari officially starts in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Our representative will meet you upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport. After a brief introduction you will be transferred to your lodge where you are going to spend the first night of your safari vacation on dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Note: The rest of the afternoon today is left for you to spend at leisure or to participate in some of the numerous activities (own cost) on offer in Victoria Falls.
There is something to do for everyone in Victoria Falls, from the 111-meter-high bungee jump, heart stopping gorge swings, zip lines and many more.
There are also river cruises, elephant encounters, rich local arts, crafts and cultural experiences, fishing and scenic tours allowing you to see Victoria Falls from different angles.
Note: Participation in any of these extra activities is at the guest’s own expense.

Day 2
Victoria Falls - Kasane, Botswana

Today after breakfast, you will go for a guided tour of Victoria Falls locally known as “Mosi–oa– Thunya” and loosely translated “The Smoke that Thunders”.
Described in more modern terms as ‘the greatest known curtain of falling water', Victoria Falls are a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe.
You will be picked up after your guided tour of Victoria Falls and transferred to Zimbabwe / Botswana border where you will clear customs and immigrations, enter Botswana and then continue to Kasane
Arrive at your lodge in Kasane around noon to settle in. This lodge will be your home for two (2) nights.
Chobe River boat cruise
Another highlight today is a boat cruise in the Chobe River. This boat cruise gives you the chance to experience the animals of Chobe from another perspective. You might therefore, get up close and personal with hippos, crocodiles and a mind–boggling array of water birds.

Day 3

Wake up early this morning for breakfast and thereafter head out to Chobe National Park for your morning game drive.
Tucked up in Botswana’s far northeastern border with Namibia, Chobe National Park is one of the great wildlife destinations of Africa. At approximately 11 900sq km, Chobe is made up of rich ecosystems and pristine landscapes consisting of savanna plains, river, swamps and scrubs. It is the ultimate haven for vast herds of elephant. As many as 120,000 animals depend on the Chobe River’s life–sustaining waterways when the dry season kicks in.
Other resident game species are large herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, the rare puku, roan and sable antelope. These are normally trailed by the notoriously fearless lions of the Chobe, leopard and cheetah.
You will return to your lodge around noon for your lunch. Head out again to Chobe National Park in the afternoon for your game drive and return to your lodge just before sunset.

Day 4
Kasane - Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

Wake up early in the morning and be treated to a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will leave for a short morning safari drive in Chobe.
Road transfer to Nata
Today, we have a long drive ahead of us as we leave Kasane and travel towards the village of Nata in the outskirts of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
We expect to arrive in Nata in the afternoon. On arrival, we will drive you straight to your lodge to check in. You are going to spend (1) night at this lodge.
Note: At certain times of the year we will use Gweta Village to launch our exploration into Makgadikgadi Salt Pans around Boteti River in Khumaga wilderness area. This is so especially when the rains fall during the wet season from November through March, when our interest will be to go after the second largest Zebra migration in the world, both of which centre around the Makgadikgadi-Nxai Pan ecosystem.

Day 5
Nata – Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

Wake up to a hearty breakfast this morning. After breakfast, you will leave Nata behind and continue off-road across gravel roads, winding tracks, and across stretches of salt pans to your wilderness camp where you are going to spend one (1) night.
These salt pans span over 16,000 square kilometers in the Kalahari Basin. They are the largest network of salt pans in the world. Remnants of an ancient lake, the pans are interspersed with sandy desert and occasional vegetation.
For the true lover of remote experiences, by standing in the middle of these vast, flat and dusty salt-encrusted pans, you will experience true remoteness and pure isolation.
At night the vast Makgadikgadi landscape feels like a planetarium. Therefore, you should look out for the stars, as they utterly dominate the land and their brilliance and immediacy are totally arresting.

Day 6

Wake up to a hearty breakfast this morning. After breakfast, you will leave the great Makgadikgadi landscape and travel to Maun.
Upon arrival in Maun, you will be taken to your lodge where you will relax and rest. This will give you ample time to prepare for the next leg of your safari vacation.
Note: The afternoon is left for you to spend at leisure, to go shopping for curios and also, to have the option of taking an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (at an extra cost). This activity offers an aerial view of the Okavango Delta, giving you the opportunity to see the Okavango Delta's unique water system from a different perspective. It is even possible to spot large game animals such as elephants, hippos, etc. from high above during the flight.

Day 7
Maun - Moremi Game Reserve
Maun - Moremi Game Reserve
We are going to pick you up from your lodge this morning and then head northwards to Moremi for a one (1) night stay.
Moremi is made up of luscious landscapes from lily-studded lagoons, to undulating floodplains, vast open grasslands, mopane woodland and acacia forests teeming with birdsong. As such, Moremi provides outstanding game viewing throughout the year.
When visiting Moremi you should be ready for close encounters with everything from elephant, buffalo and antelope, followed closely by predators; lions, leopards, wild dogs, etc.
You will arrive at your camp before sunset. Gather around a campfire in the evening to enjoy dinner while you watch an African sky exploding with stars. Finally, go to bed enveloped by the symphony of the bush – perhaps listening to a chorus of frogs, a lion bellowing to his pride across the savanna or a pack of hyenas’ giggles, etc.

Day 8

Wake up and freshen up before being served breakfast. Afterwards, take a leisurely game drive through Moremi. On this drive you might take some time to marvel at territorial hippos ‘yawning’ at each other in the lagoons or watch African Jacanas pick weightlessly over waterlily pads as they search for food.
Finally, you will head northeast towards Khwai Concession for a two (2) night stay.
At about 1800–square kilometres large, Khwai is situated in the northeastern Okavango next to Moremi. It is a wildlife–prolific and varied ecosystem dominated by a patchwork of lagoons, grasslands, permanent flood plains and large areas of Mopane woodland forests. Khwai has a marvelous selection of predators such as lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, serval, African wild cat, etc.
In the afternoon you will go for your game drive and possibly watch the sunset unfold over the Khwai River.

Day 9
Explore Khwai Concession
Explore Khwai Concession
Wake up early for breakfast and set off at dawn to discover what promise Khwai holds for the new day.
Your drive will follow the Khwai River’s watercourse weaving from the riverside and floodplains into the mophane veld and woodlands that make Khwai one of the most scenic areas of the Okavango Delta.
Khwai boasts an excellent population of African elephants, both solitary bulls and breeding herds. The swampy areas are home to red lechwe. Other resident species include the giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, kudu, impala, etc. Khwai is one of Botswana’s birding meccas. As such the raptors and waterbirds are particularly abundant and make for some great photography.
Mokoro Excursion
Today, the highlight is a mokoro excursion along the Khwai River. During this mokoro excursion expect to have some great encounters with aquatic birds and several species of mammals.

Day 10

Depart from your wilderness camp after breakfast on a leisurely drive to appreciate one last time, one of the most scenic reaches of the Okavango Delta– Khwai Concession.
Finally, you will head to Maun. Our safari ends upon arrival in Maun today. You will be dropped off at Maun Airport for your onward travel or to your lodge where you will relax and rest. This will give you ample time to prepare for the next leg of your safari vacation or journey back home.
