Kibale National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Kibale Forest National Park is a lush, rainy forest, and home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. During your morning chimpanzee trek, you'll have the chance to observe our closet cousins up close as they groom and interact in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to nine different species of monkeys, such as the red colobus, red-tailed monkey, and bush babies. In the forest canopy, you can spot colorful butterflies and various bird species, including the native great blue turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long-tailed cuckoo, and the striking black bee-eater.
After the trek, we'll begin our transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We'll drive further south, with views of the Rwenzori Mountains—the longest range in Africa—or pass through the crater lakes in the hillls. Upon reaching the lodge, you'll be treated to an impressive view over Queen Elizabeth National Park, allowing you to unwind and leave behind any fatigue or stress.
