Arusha Town to Tarangire National park for Game drive

You will be picked up at Arusha City after breakfast and drive two hours to Tarangire National Park. You will enjoy lunch and an action-packed game drive at Tarangire National Park. The Park derived its name from the Tarangire River, which rises in the highlands of Central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The animals come by the thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron to the banks of this river, significantly swelling the resident population with wildebeest, zebra, eland, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo and oryx. During the dry season, the Tarangire pools are clotted with thirsty migrants, and the elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed. Tarangire National Park is said to have the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world. Later in the evening, you will head to the Karatu Area for dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After an early morning breakfast, you will check out and leave camp with your lunch box to travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend to the crater floor to experience a morning and afternoon game drive. All the “Big Five”, including rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo and elephants, live in this incredible caldera. You will break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok Spring Picnic site. This spot will provide you with an unforgettable experience. Ngorongoro Crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and the “8th Natural Wonder of the World”. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Nowhere else can such diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short time. After lunch, you will participate in another game drive before ascending the crater and returning to Arusha Town, where your safari will end.
