You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by an Earthwings Tours driver at 7:00 am and proceed to Samburu, passing through the equator line along the way. Enjoy a short game drive en route to the luxury tented camp. Have lunch and relax before a game drive at 4:00 pm and return to the camp for dinner and your overnight rest. Samburu has unique residents including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx and the blue legged Somali ostrich.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the unique northern Kenyan species that live here, including the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of a desert landscape—dusty red plains broken by thorny scrubs and a dramatic view of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

Samburu - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Samburu - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depart Samburu after breakfast at 7.00am and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful, private game reserve that is home to rare species such as the Beisa oryx, Rothschild's giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and hippos. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage and observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary as well. Meals and your overnight stay will be at the Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at 7:00 am, enjoy a full day game drive in the Masai Mara in search of great predators and maybe even cubs! Enormous herds of grazing animals are found on the plains, plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. There will be a picnic lunch at 1:00 pm served in the beautiful savanna land. Return to the camp/lodge after a very successful day for dinner and your overnight rest.
