Day 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our VIP visa specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He will guide you through the entire visa process and you can skip the long immigration queues. With Galloping Safaris, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will hold a poster with your name and then transfer you to Arusha (45 minutes) for a serene retreat at Ilboru Safari Lodge.
This charming hotel has beautiful views of Mount Meru and is the ideal place to acclimatize to Africa or simply relax in the poolside gardens with a chilled drink. On cool winter evenings, get cozy next to a fireplace and sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste, and enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant.

Day 2

Have an 8 am departure from Arusha with a 4x4 and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. This is a unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife. The acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunch under the acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park's famous tree-climbing lions, leopards, and giraffes, and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa.
Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here. Leave the park and drive to Heart and Soul Lodge to join us for a welcoming reception followed by cocktail drinks, dinner, and overnight. On cool winter evenings, get cozy next to a fireplace and sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste.

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area. It is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. Dinner and overnight will be at Moyo Serengeti Tented Camp.

Have an early breakfast and go on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. The park gets its name from the Maasai word "Siringitu" meaning endless plain. Be amazed by the vast plains and the enormous amount of wildlife that can be seen here, and start counting the Big Five. Serengeti Seronera is well known as being home to a large number of big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. This does not deter the elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, and impala who are also popular inhabitants of Seronera. Around midday, you will stop for a break to enjoy a packed lunch and stretch your legs before jumping back in your Jeep, ready for another few hours of spotting the animals in the afternoon.
At the end of the day, you will return for dinner and overnight at Moyo Serengeti Tented Camp.

Have an early breakfast whereafter you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” Within the crater lie grasslands, forests, and a freshwater lake, inspiring a continual migration of animals. Riding in our 4x4 safari vehicle, you’ll have a chance to spot Africa’s celebrated “Big Five” (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and the rare black rhinoceros). Dig into a hot lunch as you picnic in the heart of the crater, which is sure to be a highlight of your African safari.

Later, drive to Farm of Dreams Lodge for the ever-inviting fireplace pit by the campfire where the fun Swahili lessons are offered by our staff. Enjoy your delicious dinner which will be served at the mezzanine that offers the best view over the Highlands Forest.

Have breakfast and then drive a short distance to Tarangire National Park. This is a unique place and absolutely fantastic at this time of the year. View some of Tanzania's largest populations of elephants and enjoy the diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of the Tarangire River and then continue with the game drive. At the end of the day, you exit the park and drive back to Arusha where we drop you off at the given location.
