Depart Nairobi by road for Samburu Game Reserve located in the Northern Frontier District arriving for lunch at Ashnil Samburu Camp. Ashnil Samburu is located in a rugged landscape against a backdrop of jagged mountains, offering a natural scenery of mountains and a meandering river. Later enjoy afternoon game drive in the expansive Samburu Game Reserve. Overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 2

Whole day in Samburu Game Reserve with game drives. Samburu is host to big herds of elephant. Other unique wildlife species are also very common sightings in this part of the wilderness. The Uaso Nyiro River is a great point of concentration and interest to both visitors and wildlife. It forms the lifeline of this great reserve and most animals cannot keep away from it as they come to quench their thirst from the river. Overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 3

Samburu/Abedares

Samburu/Abedares

After breakfast drive back towards Mount Kenya and head to the Aberdares Ranges arriving at Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to The Ark Forest Lodge for overnight game viewing. The Ark is nestled deep in the forests of Aberdares National Park on the path of an ancient elephant migratory route between the Aberdares Mountains and Mount Kenya and is strategically located right in front of a watering hole and salt lick. The forest is home to many wildlife species including elephant, rhino, warthog, bush pig, giant forest hog, waterbuck, duiker, bongo and reedbuck. Overnight at The Ark Forest Lodge.

Day 4

Aberdares/Lake Nakuru

Aberdares/Lake Nakuru

Breakfast at The Ark. Then drive into the Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp which is located inside Lake Nakuru National Park. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park which is world-famous for its enormous flocks of flamingos and over 400 species of birds found there. It's a soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley and at times the flamingos number in the millions which is quite a spectacular sight. They are so numerous that from a distance the lake appears to be ringed in pink. The lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild giraffe and the Black and White rhino.

Leaving the Great Rift Valley behind, head off to Maasai Mara which is world-famous and Kenya's premier game reserve arriving for lunch at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is nestled in a river glade in an area where elephants love to come and drink from the Talek River. After a warm welcome and a delightful lunch, embark on a game drive with your driver-guide in the Mara, the ancestral home to the Maasai people. Overnight at Ilkeliani Camp.

Today enjoy game drives in the Mara that will include a visit to the Mara River where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya. The annual migration sees over a million wild animals move from Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Overnight at Ilkeliani Tented Camp.
