Day 1

Airport - Moshi

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our driver, who will assist you with airport procedures. Afterward, you'll be taken directly to your hotel, where you can relax and recover from your long flight. If possible, your guide will meet you in the evening for a brief introduction. The transfer fee from the airport to Moshi is $50.

Day 2

Machame Gate - Machame Camp

After breakfast, your climb begins at Machame Gate (1830m). You'll trek through the lush lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, gradually gaining altitude while enjoying the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest. You'll arrive at the first Machame Hut, located at 3000m above sea level. If the weather is clear, you might catch your first glimpse of the glaciated dome of Kibo in the evening, depending on the clouds. The trek from Machame Gate to Machame Hut typically takes about 6-7 hours.

Day 3

Machame Camp - Shira Camp

Today’s climb is shorter as you ascend a steep ridge to a small semicircular cliff known as the picnic site. From there, you’ll continue up a gentler slope through the lower alpine moorland, renowned for its beautiful wild alpine flowers. The most spectacular views of Kibo Peak can be enjoyed from Shira Camp, where you will spend the night. The trek from Machame Hut to Shira Camp (3840m) typically takes about 4-6 hours.

Day 4

Shira Camp - Barranco Valley

Today, you’ll enjoy a gentle ascent with stunning panoramic views as you traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro. You’ll pass underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach. After a hot lunch at the base of the Lava Tower (4600m), you’ll descend to the bottom of the Great Barranco Valley (3900m). The trek from Shira Camp to Barranco Valley typically takes about 5-7 hours.

Day 5

Baranco Camp - Barafu Camp

Baranco Camp - Barafu Camp

Today’s journey begins with a steep climb up the eastern wall, bringing you just below the Heim Glacier, where you'll be treated to spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. You'll then ascend the Great Barranco Wall, which separates you from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, before descending into the alpine desert of the Karanga Valley. After a short break for a hot lunch, you’ll tackle a steep climb out of Karanga, followed by an easier path on compacted scree, offering wide views of the dry landscape leading up to Barafu Camp.

From Barafu Camp (4600m), you’ll have views of both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. After a hot lunch at the camp, the rest of the day is yours to rest and prepare for the final ascent, followed by an early night for the summit walk. The trek from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp typically takes about 7-9 hours.

Day 6

Barafu Camp - to Summit - Mweka Camp

Barafu Camp - to Summit - Mweka Camp

You'll wake up before midnight, and in the cover of darkness, we'll begin a steep climb over loose volcanic scree, using well-graded zig-zags. A slow but steady pace will take us to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point, at 5,735m. We'll rest there for a few minutes to enjoy the stunning sunrise over Mawenzi. If you’re feeling strong, you can continue on a two-hour round trip along the crater rim to the summit (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After taking a moment to appreciate your incredible achievement, we'll descend rapidly back to Barafu Camp for some refreshments.

From Barafu Camp, we’ll continue our descent to Mweka Camp (3100m), completing a challenging day of about 13-15 hours of walking.

Day 7

Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate - Moshi

A gentle walk today will take you down through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Those who successfully reached the summit will receive their certificates. After a celebratory lunch at Mweka Gate, we’ll drive back to Moshi for dinner and your overnight stay. The trek from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate typically takes about 3-5 hours.

Day 8

Moshi - Lake Manyara National Park

You’ll meet our professional tour guide/driver in Arusha town for a brief safari orientation. Afterward, we’ll travel to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge.

Following lunch, we’ll head into Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its stunning location. This impressive park features a massive shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of its area, situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park's diverse habitats attract a wide variety of wildlife, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara famous tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn to the algae in the lake.

Start your day with an early breakfast at 6:00 am before embarking on a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is Tanzania's largest and most renowned park, celebrated for its endless plains and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Here, you'll encounter herds of lions and other predators such as hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards.

As you explore, keep an eye out for crocodiles and hippos in the Grumeti River, as well as giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. After a day filled with incredible wildlife sightings, you'll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Start your day with a morning game drive in Serengeti, where you'll have the chance to spot a wide array of wildlife in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you'll drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, with an optional stopover at Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site.

Upon reaching the crater rim, you’ll enjoy dinner and settle in for the night with stunning views of the crater floor. Please note that Simba Camp is the only commonly used campsite in the area, and the facilities can sometimes be basic.

After breakfast, you'll embark on a half-day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, where you have a great chance of spotting the Big Five: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site on the crater floor, surrounded by the stunning scenery.

After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
