Day 1

Samburu National Reserve

At 6.30 am you will be met and be briefed by our representative then depart Nairobi and drive Northwards to Samburu National Reserve through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantation to the cool Kenyan highlands. As you proceed to the North one encounters striking features such as the crossing of the equator in Nanyuki and the background of Mount Kenya as you travel towards the northern hemisphere. Huge Blue Mountains in the horizon along with the white of the snow-capped Mount Kenya is quite warming to visitors. You will arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch. Have a short siesta then at 1600 hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Samburu National reserve is situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River teeming with life; there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed for game-viewing drive in the Samburu National Reserve at 0630 hrs and 1600 hrs respectively with mid morning and early afternoon at leisure in your lodge. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator known us the special five. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich and gravy’s zebra. Other animals include the leopard, the mighty lion, elephants, crocodiles and abundant species of birds. All meals and overnight at the Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

Day 3

The Aberdares

The Aberdares

Breakfast will be served at the lodge from 0630 hrs and at 0730 hrs proceed to south and drive Aberdare Country club is the base hotel for your tree hotel – Ark. Lunch at the base hotel and at 1430 hrs, transfer to Ark, which is located in the Aberdare National Park with small overnight bags as most of the luggage is left at the Aberdare Country Club. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner, overnight and game viewing at a water whole at night as animals come to drink water at the Ark.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru National Park

Breakfast will be served at 0600hrs, join in transfer at 0800hrs back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and at 0900hrs drive towards the Rift Valley, to arrive at lodge/ca at time for lunch. Relax after lunch and meet your tour guide at 1600hrs for the evening game drive. Where you will be driving at the park viewing the Lions, Leopards Rhinos and other grazers in their natural habitat and also view the flamingoes at the shows of Lake Nakuru. Overnight and dinner at the Lodge.

Breakfast will be served at the lodge from 0630 hrs and at 0730 hrs you will drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley. En route enjoy the beautiful scenery. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and check in at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive at 1600 hrs. Have a chance to Spot lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators, this is the highlight of your day. This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at your lodge.

Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs mid morning and early afternoon at leisure respectively and in the course of the day you can plan with your guide to visit the Maasai village to experience the local cultural way of life. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. Considered by many to be Kenya's finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoin Tanzania's well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to September, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and overnight at the Lodge.
