Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Early in the morning, you will be picked up in Nairobi by the driver/guide who will brief you on your safari before you depart for Masai Mara.

The travel time to Mara will take around 5-6 hrs. Along the way, there will be a stop over at the Great Rift Valley where you can take photos of the sheer drop of the Rift Valley, as well as the nearby Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot.

Upon arrival at Mara, you will settle in and have your lunch. You will rest before proceeding to an afternoon game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve.

Tip: Maasai people will sell you souvenirs at the entrance. It is often cheaper to buy from them plus you also get to sustain their livelihood by supporting their arts and crafts.

Later, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will leave for a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. This is home to over 3 million large mammals. Our experienced tour guide/ driver will take you in search of the famous Big Five among other animals including hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeest, and various bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you witness the famous migration.

An optional visit to a Masai village at USD 20 pp can be arranged after the game drive. This visit gives a good tour of Maasai culture. You will be welcomed with a song and dance presentation, which forms part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.

After the game drive, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
