4-Day Safari in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Transfer from the Airport and Dinner Cruise

You will be met at the Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) by your Tamuka Travel guide carrying a signboard with your name on it. You will then be transferred to your accommodation. A dinner cruise awaits you. The pick-up time will be 4:00 p.m. in winter and 4:30 p.m. in summer. You will cruise along the banks of the river.

You will enjoy viewing the spectacular scenery that is nature’s own sanctuary and home to the laughing hippos, singing birds, and 'snapping' crocodiles as you sip on your drink and indulge in mouth-watering snacks. You will enjoy the hospitality of the professional guides and captains as you relax and enjoy the delicious snacks and chilled refreshments.

Bring cameras or camcorders, personal medication if necessary, a booking voucher, insect repellent, and warm clothing for winter, approximately from April until July. Age restrictions will not be applicable as the cruise is an amazing outing for all family members.

Guided Tour of the Falls, Traditional Village Tour, and Boma Dinner

The pick-up time will be 8:30 a.m. Victoria Falls is one of the most compelling sites in the world. The cascading column of sheer energy powers its way down a 100-meter chasm, taking your breath away as you gaze in awe mesmerized by its strength and incredible beauty.

Thereafter, you will have a traditional village tour. The pick-up time will be 2:00 p.m. You will experience a way of life long since forgotten in the modern world. It will be a great way to learn about the Zimbabwean culture as you help with daily tasks and get a real feel of traditional village life.

Thereafter, you will be picked up at 6:45 p.m. for the Boma dinner. There will be excellent cuisine, including a variety of meats and traditional Zimbabwean dishes accompanied by entertainment throughout your meal from traditional dancers, the Sangoma or storyteller, and a local witch doctor who is available for fortune telling.

Game Drive and Helicopter Flight

Your pick-up time will be 6:00 a.m. You will capture the essence of the African bush at its best, in the age-old tradition of game driving. Open, well-kitted four-wheel drive vehicles will take you on a meander along the shores of a scenic lake, through basalt plains to Teak forests and Kalahari sands within Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve.

Let the professional guides impart their immense knowledge of the many species of animals such as the African elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, caracal, majestic sable, eland, waterbuck, kudu, bushbuck, tsessebe, the elusive gemsbok, and the endangered Black rhino.

The pick-up time for the helicopter flight is 2:30 p.m. It is unfortunate that Doctor David Livingstone never got to see Victoria Falls from a helicopter. So vast is the Victoria Falls in its settings that perhaps the best way to see this magnificent wonder is to take a helicopter trip.

Departure

Your transfers back to Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) will be provided. Your pick-up time depends on your flight details but Tamuka Travel usually picks up two hours before departure time.
