Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and take part in an orientation of the tour before departing for the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will stop at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok Town for lunch. Upon arrival at the reserve, you will take off on your first game drive, tracking various animal species and birds. Later in the evening, you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will participate in a full-day game drive within the reserve. The landscape in the reserve consists of scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close-range viewing and photography. You will break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Later in the evening, you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, the driver will pick you up and take you for a cultural experience at the local Masai village—the activity will cost $10. Depart from the Mara region, heading to Lake Nakuru National Park with a hot lunch on the way. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the Buraha Zenoni Hotel for your dinner and overnight stay. As you pass Lake Naivasha, you can opt for a boat ride on the lake—the activity will cost $20 per person.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will take off on an adventurous game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific bird life. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino. You will also see Cape buffalo and waterbuck gathering near the lake’s shoreline. Later in the day, you will drive to Amboseli National Park, check in to Nyati Safari Camp, enjoy dinner and turn in for the night.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a fantastic day of game drives in the park, where you will see herds of elephants and hippos bathing in the lake. You will also see a variety of plains game, including antelope and birds. If the weather conditions are clear, you may get a grand view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak. We will cater picnic lunches during the game drive, and you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at the airport or a hotel of your choice in Nairobi. There is an option, if you wish, to continue to Mombasa with us dropping you off in Emali to board a bus for Mombasa. This is where your safari will end.
