Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You'll meet your safari guide and drive out of Kampala in the morning for the start of your gorillas and chimps safari. You will make a stop at the equator to get the experience of standing with one foot on either side of the southern- and northern hemispheres. You will continue to the town of Mbarara for lunch before the final part of the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a relaxed evening enjoying the view from the lodge. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge on full board.

Day 2

Chimps Trekking in Kyambura Gorge and Boat Cruise with an Evening Game Drive

In the morning, your guide takes you to Kyambura Gorge for a chimp trekking experience. You have a walk in a beautiful jungle and gorge, meeting with the chimps ahead of you. You will also be able to see a variety of monkeys including black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tail vervet monkeys, and many more. When you get back from the trek your guide takes you to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, it is time for the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. This two-hour boat ride lets you look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds by the shores. Later, you'll go for an evening game drive in Kasenyi, well known as a breeding ground for many animals.

Day 3

Tree-climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Tree-climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will set off for the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. Ishasha is known for tree-climbing lions and the game drive here lets you look for them as well as see topis and buffaloes, elephants. On a lucky day, you might see some leopards. After the game drive, you'll continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the mountain gorillas. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Gorilla Trekking Experience and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Your guide will take you to the starting point of the gorilla trekking in the morning and you set off for your adventure. The trek takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are and you get to spend one hour with them. When you are back from the gorilla trekking your guide will take you to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. Boat rides and Batwa experience are optional and not included in the price.

Day 5

After breakfast, you'll start the journey back to Kampala. You will make a stopover along the way for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka depending on time. You have now reached the end of your gorilla and chimps safari and your guide drops you off in Kampala/Entebbe Airport.
