Early in the morning you will be picked either from the airport or your Nairobi accommodation and depart from Nairobi passing agricultural farmlands enroute to Nanyuki where you will have a stopover at the equator for photo and demonstration on how water spins North and South of the equator. Later you will continue with your safari driving north through the high wheat fields of Timau, then into Meru National Park which offers herds of wildlife, including the famed Big Five – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard and a bird watchers paradise. Other than its natural beauty, Meru is the setting for the film Born Free, based on the book of the same title by Joy Adamson featuring Elsa the Lioness. It is the park where Joy and George Adamson set Elsa free into the wild. You will arrive in time for lunch at Ikweta safari camp followed by afternoon game drive before you return to Ikweta safari camp to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Breakfast will be served then with picnic lunch you will have the full day exploring Meru National Park with a chance of seeing large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Eland, Duiker, Elephant, Gazelle, Giraffe, Genet, Hartebeest, Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck, Baboons, Jackal, Hyena, Kudu, Lion, Oryx, Mongoose, Oribis, Vervet Monkeys and Warthogs. In addition, you might see Wild dog, Caracal, Bush baby, Cheetah, Dik-dik, Civet, Bush pig, Otter, Porcupine not forgetting different species of birds including Peter's fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel's Fishing Owl, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Starlings and numerous Weavers. After breakfast you will depart from Meru as you continue with your safari via Isiolo, then an unforgettable journey into Samburu Game Reserve - a haven of beauty and peace in semi-arid land, rugged landscape and majestic surroundings. The Samburu region is known for it's northern species of game seldom found south of the equator. Here you will find the Grevy's zebra, Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked gerenuk, and dainty dik dik, as well as some of the most beautiful bird life in Kenya. You'll also see herds of elephant, plains game and their predators. You will arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa lodge then proceed for game drive before you return to Samburu Sopa lodge to wait for dinner followed by overnight. You will spend the day exploring Samburu game reserve and the banks of River Uaso Nyiro where you might have a chance of spotting crocodiles. You will also have a chance to see elephants, leopards, cheetah among other wild. In addition, Samburu National Reserve is a paradise for bird lovers, with over 350 species of birds which include vultures, kingfishers, marabous, batealeurs, guinea fowl among others.
