Together with rangers we are going on a hike in Hell’s Gate National Park. This is an excellent opportunity to watch the game on foot. For African measures, this park is relatively small. We can see Olkaria and Hobley’s in the park, two inactive volcanoes as well as Obsidian formations from the cold lava. From the Central Tower, a small gorge leads south to a path with some hot springs. The park is a habitat for many different animals. Rarely seen animals include lions, leopards and cheetahs. One of 103 bird species is the bearded vulture. More common animals are the African buffalo, zebras, eland, red hartebeest, Thomson gazelles and baboons. Also servals and a small amount of klipspringers live in the park. In the afternoon we will visit Elsamere, the former residence of Joy Adamson, the well-known lion researcher. In addition to the small museum we can enjoy some “High Tea” with a variety of cakes in the garden at the lake. We will stay at Naivasha Kongoni Lodge again for the night.
