Boat Safari on Mighty Rufiji River

You'll be picked up by a guide from Selous Explorer at your hotel for a safari briefing. Afterwards, drive south to Selous Game Reserve which is approximately 5 hours from Dar es Salaam. On arrival, you will start with an afternoon boat safari in the mighty Rufiji River. Your overnight stay will be at Hippo Tented Camp on full board basis.

Full-Day Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, you'll go for full day game drives with packed lunch boxes in Selous Game Reserve. During lunchtime, you will enjoy your picnic lunch in the picnic site the guide will select for you. After your picnic lunch and some relaxation, you will continue with your afternoon game drives. After the game drives, you will return to Hippo Tented Camp for your overnight stay on a full board basis.

Walking Safari and Back Dar es salaam

Start the day with an early morning walking safari and then go back to the camp for a late breakfast. After breakfast, you'll drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes. On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at the hotel/ferry terminal for the last ferry to Zanzibar or at the airport for your flight back home.
