Oudtshoorn

We will set off from Cape Town via Worcester, Robertson and Montagu, lunching in Barrydale, a charming town offering breathtaking views of the Overberg Mountains. After lunch, we will meander on towards Oudtshoorn, the 'ostrich capital of the world' where we will visit an ostrich farm. Ending the day at a local restaurant serving ostrich steak.

Cango Caves

The morning begins with a tour of the Cango Cave, an underground marvel of tunnels and dripstone caverns located in limestone. Then go onto the scenic Outeniqua Pass, where we lunch at Victoria Bay, a popular surfing spot. After lunch, we make our way to Knysna, where we enjoy a sunset cruise on the lagoon. Dinner will be at the waterfront, sampling delicious oysters.

Tsitsikamma National Park

We begin the day with a trip to the Knysna Heads, the famous sandstone cliffs that overlook the lagoon. On our way out, we'll travel through indigenous forests where the Knysna elephants once roamed and head onto Nature's Valley, known for its beautiful beaches. We'll explore the Tsitsikamma National Park next, visiting the huge Yellow Wood trees and walking over the suspension bridge at Stormsriver Mouth.

After lunch, we'll journey onto the Bloukrans Bridge, where the brave can bungee jump. The last stop is Plettenberg Bay, where you can spend the afternoon swimming in the warm Indian Ocean. Later, return to Knysna for dinner.

Garden Route Game Lodge

On route to the Garden Route Game Lodge, we will explore the caves of the Khoisan and visit the Bartholomeus Dias Museum complex in Mossel Bay. On arriving at the Garden Route Game Lodge, we will enjoy a scenic 4x4 safari, with a professional ranger.

Dinner is a traditional African buffet.

Hermanus

We'll start the day with an early morning sunrise safari at the Garden Route Game Lodge. You'll stop off in the coastal town of Hermanus, which offers the perfect breeding grounds for whales. Where a whale watching cruise is optional. The next leg takes us the Stony Point Nature Reserve located in Betty's Bay, where we observe the unique colony of African penguins.

Our final route is the coastal meander over Clarence Drive, a winding route of sea and cliffs to Cape Town.
