You will be picked up in Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park. You will enjoy a picnic lunch as you embark on your first game drive. Overnight at Octagon Lodge
Tarangire National Park is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephant and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. Tarangire is spectacular during the dry season (June - November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti (since enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water). With its varied habitats and permanent water source, the park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species. After a exciting day of game watching, you will drive to the Kudu Lodge where you will check-in, have dinner and turn in for the night.

The Serengeti National Park is the world's last great wildlife refuge that contains an estimated three million large animals. The bulk of those animals take part in the annual migration that is considered one of the world’s natural wonders. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai 'Siringet', meaning “endless plains”. At the end of the day you will check-in to the Kati Kati Tented Camp, enjoy a hot meal and turn in for the night.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will spend the first half of your day on an exciting game drive in the park. Later you will drive to Ngongoro for overnight. On your game drive you will see the resident lion prides within a one-hour radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time to view the prides in the Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River. In the evening you will arrive at the Kudu Lodge where you will have dinner and settle in for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will check-out and travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will see the Maasai tribesmen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest along the way. Upon arrival you will descend to the crater floor and embark on a once in a lifetime game drive. Often called the “Eighth Natural Wonder of the World”, the crater is the largest intact crater in the world. Two million years ago the volcano erupted and its walls collapsed causing the volcano floor to sink; creating its natural tall wall enclosure. Today the crater is filled with acacia forests, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. The animals who permanently live inside include elephant, warthog, flamingo, black rhino, all of the predatory cats and magnificent birdlife. You will enjoy lunch at a designated spot in the crater. Later in the afternoon you will ascend to the crater rim and begin your drive back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at a specified location. This is where your safari will end.
