Your private guide with a safari 4WD vehicle, meets and greets you at your hotel in Kigali. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay your last respects to victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against Tutsi before leaving the lively capital. You will drive north-west through lush hills and bustling market towns for approximately 4 hours, to the stunning Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Uganda. Your overnight stay will be at Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.

Day 2
Uganda Gorilla Tracking Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the ranger station for Uganda gorilla trekking briefing on dos and don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas. Afterward, you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide and hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them, you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters of 10 meters. After the experience, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. Your overnight stay will be at Gorillas Hotel or similar.

Today, you'll participate in the Rwanda gorilla trekking a gorilla trekking ticket at an additional cost of $1,500 is required, or participate in the alternative Bosoke Volcano Hike.
Early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a trekking briefing and then a hike up into the rainforest to a troop of magnificent mountain gorillas. Each troop has its 24-hour guard, so their location is known. You usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters indeed. After the day experience, you will return to the lodge. Your overnight stay will be at Gorillas Hotel or similar.

Golden Monkey Trekking, Volcanoes National Park - Lake Kivu, Gisenyi

After an early morning breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi to go for golden monkey tracking. These primates are beautiful, endangered, and more agile than the mountain gorillas. They live in bamboo thickets on the lower slopes of the mountains. Tracking them acclimatizes you perfectly to the slight altitude, marking your last views of the park's environs. This will be followed by a transfer to Lake Kivu, Gisenyi. Your overnight stay will be at Paradise Malahide Hotel or similar.

A live experience of how coffee is grown and catered for until it reaches the cup it’s a unique ecotourism attraction with big involvement of the local community. After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Kinunu for the coffee experience and proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Your overnight stay will be at Ken Barham Guesthouse or similar.

At 4:30 am, you'll have an early morning breakfast or order a packed breakfast. This will be followed by a meeting with the ranger guide. Then, you'll transfer to Cyamudongo or Uwinka Visitors Center, to begin with chimpanzee trekking. Subsequently, there will be a canopy walk that starts at the Uwinka Visitors Center. Then, you will return to the lodge. Your overnight stay will be at Ken Barham Guesthouse or similar.

Day 7
Nyungwe National Park - Kigali
Nyungwe National Park - Kigali
After an early breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Kigali bringing an end to the 7-day Rwanda Uganda Chimpanzee and gorilla tracking safari. Your driver-guide will drop you at your planned destination or the airport for a night flight back home. End.
