Day 1: Xaraxao (Okavango Delta) Pick up from Maun airport or lodge just before mid-day, here you’ll meet your professional guide who will accompany you throughout your adventure. Your guide will drive you 25km away from Maun with a packed lunch to have on the way. Once in the national park you will be taken to a secluded camp site in the Okavango Delta, where you will spend two nights. Your adventure will start with an afternoon walk in one of the most incredible wilderness sanctuaries in Africa, with 15 000 square kilometres of water channels, lagoons and islands. After the walk you’ll come back to camp to have a 3 course dinner prepared by a chef. The team will prepare your heated shower before you retire to bed in a comfortable private tent.

Day 2: Xaraxao (Okavango Delta) The team will give you a wakeup call in the early morning with a cup of tea or coffee prepared for you. As you start to wake up the chef will ensure a full breakfast is prepared, after which your day will start with a mokoro safari to experience the tranquillity of the Okavango Delta. The mokoro is a traditional dug-out canoe which over the years has become a very popular way to slip quietly into the watery wonderland, perfect to see bird and wildlife in this unique environment. After the mokoro safari it’ll be time for a prepared lunch and an afternoon rest. In the afternoon your professional guide will take you somewhere safe to swim which will then be followed by another mokoro trip combined with walking safari. At the days end it’ll be time for dinner and refreshments while the team prepare your shower.

Day 3: Xaraxao (Okavango Delta) A tray of tea, coffee and homemade biscuits will be waiting outside your tent as you wake up followed by a hearty breakfast. After breakfast it will be time for a morning walk for the last opportunity to spot some of the world’s most endangered species of large mammal, such as the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros and African wild dog. At the end of the morning walk it will be time to head back to Maun with your now well used Mokoro. A packed lunch will have been prepared for the trip back.
