Arusha to Arusha National Park

We pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at around 7:30 am and drive on a tarmac road (38km) to Arusha National Park with a packed lunch.

Over 400 bird species have been recorded in this small park which is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella lakes, and the Ngurdoto Crater does the magic. A closer look at the birds can be arranged with a walking safari or canoeing. Momella Lake is one of the best places in Tanzania to see waterbirds, flamingos, pelicans, little grebes, a variety of herons, ducks, and waders. You will also see turaco, eagle, lesser and greater flamingo, goose, hamerkop, spur-winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, and grey parrot. Animals to spot include zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and many others that reside here. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ambassador Hotel.
