Today you fly from Johannesburg to the Kruger NP region. Arrive at Hoedspruit Airport where you’ll be met & transferred to Baobab Ridge in the Klaserie Reserve. Check in for 2 nights on a full-board basis with game drives & guided walks.

Tucked away in the private Klaserie Reserve, this lodge likes to introduce you to Big 5 country. It shares a fenceless border with the Kruger Park itself, as well as the other legendary private reserves. Klaserie is where lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard are all regularly seen. Your expert guides will lead you on a morning and an afternoon 4X4 drive in search of them. This small and intimate private lodge with only seven private suites sleeps a maximum of 16 guests, giving a feeling of serenity, far away from the masses.

Your hosts for the first 3 days are the friendly and helpful staff at Elephant Plains Game Lodge. Your setting is next to a seasonal river complete with a year-round waterhole. The lodge is home to 2 swimming pools, a spa and a gym. Activities include 2 game drives a day plus night drives with a spotlight, and short guided walks.

Explore Cape Town & Beyond

After the last morning's game drive, you transfer to the Hoedspruit Airport and fly to Cape Town. Transfer to Mouille Point and to the Dolphin Inn Guest House for 4 nights on a B&B basis.

It’s a morning’s drive to Hoedspruit Airport, but only a couple of hours to fly to Cape Town where you’ll be met and transferred to your apartment in Mouille Point. It is situated on the Atlantic Seaboard close to the V&A Waterfront and Sea Point. Mouille Point is a seaside treasure, ideally situated within walking distance to major attractions such as the Cape Town Stadium and Green Point Urban. It’s also just a short taxi or Uber ride to Cape Town’s biggest attractions, such as Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and Camps Bay beach. For destinations further afield such as Cape Point, the Cape Winelands and the penguins of Boulders Beach, we recommend joining organised or private tours (ask us for recommendations and bookings). Also, the hop-on-hop-off bus in Cape Town is a must.
