Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

After an early arrival at the airport you will be greeted and briefed on your upcoming safari by our professional driver guide. We will then drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is considered one of the largest and most beautiful protected areas in Kenya. You will arrive at the Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and check-in. You will then have some time to relax before we embark on a game drive through the savannah landscape of the Mara. You have a good chance of tracking down the “big five” (elephant, buffalo, lion, rhino and leopard). Return for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast we will spend the full day game driving in Masai Mara National Reserve. This park is famous for its savannah landscapes and the high concentration of wildlife per square km. There is a good chance that you will see all the animals that can usually only be seen in nature documentaries! We will have a picnic at the Mara River that borders the Serengeti. The river is part of the Masai Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, which is known as the site for the largest wildlife migration on earth. Every year, huge swaths of animals cross the brown, foaming river full of crocodiles.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

After our breakfast, we will depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, which stands at the highest attitude of all the lakes in the Great Rift Valley. The lake is home to a wide variety of birds and is an ideal place for birdwatchers! At an altitude of 1910m, the water is crystal clear and surrounded by thick papyrus. You will arrive in time for lunch and, after a short break in the afternoon, go on boat trip along the lake to look for hippos. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

The Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge is surrounded by a vast terrain, which varies in landscape. You may be able to observe the many animals roaming around the lodge in search of food. At night it is fun to look out the window and see the hippos, warthogs or giraffes within a few meters of the lodge. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha - Amboseli

Lake Naivasha - Amboseli

After breakfast we will drive to Amboseli National Park arriving right on time for Lunch. You will rest at the lodge and make use of the pool. At around 16:00 hrs you will do your first game drive. This park offers a unique panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro and is also one of the best wildlife areas to observe elephants at close quarters. It is a small park geographically, but numerous zebras, wildebeests, Thomson gazelles, Grant gazelles, buffalos, waterbucks, hippos, lions, cheetahs, jackals, can still be found here. A highlight of the park is Observation Hill, from which we will have a stunning view over the swamp and savannah landscape. Make sure to relax by the pool and enjoy the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will spend another day game driving in Amboseli and eat a picnic lunch on Observation Hill. Day 6

Amboseli - Tsavo East

Amboseli - Tsavo East

After an early morning game drive, we will make our way to Tsavo East National Park, home of the red elephants. You will enjoy a game drive en route to Ashnil Aruba Lodge, arriving in time for check-in and lunch. After some time for relaxation we will embark on an afternoon game drive. Be on the lookout for zebras, buffalos, giraffes, gazelle, waterbucks and big families of elephants. You will also see a plethora of resident bird species, including hornbills, eagles, kingfishers, weavers, giant bustards, storks and marabou. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Tsavo East - Mombasa

Early in the morning we will go on one last game drive before returning for breakfast. We will then exit Tsavo East and make our way to the Bachuma Gate, enjoying a game drive en route. Eat lunch here before proceeding to Mombasa, where your journey will come to an end.
