On arrival at Windhoek Airport, make your way to the Avis Rental Counter to collect your four-wheel-drive vehicle. Once all formalities have been completed, you can start your incredible Namibian exploration. Make your way to the Namib Desert Lodge located just outside the Namib Naukluft National Park where you will spend the next two nights.

Complementing the magnificence of a red sand sea, Namib Desert Lodge lies at the foot of ancient fossilised dunes. Make some space for wonder. A sunset or early morning drive through the red dunes exploring the sand masterpiece is breath-taking. Atop the ridge as the sand begins to glow deep rich sienna, a view of utter beauty is illuminated in gold, extending from the soft dunes around you to the green ribbon of riverine trees in the distance and the purple-blue mountains. Plan your day, either visiting the area, booking an excursion with the lodge or relaxing by the pool.

Today after breakfast, make your way up to the Coastal town of Swakopmund where you will spend the next two nights. With its Namibian residents, the bustle of tourists, historical buildings, nature-based adventures and city pleasures, Swakopmund is an experience like no other. It has something for everyone to enjoy.

Day 4

Coastal Village

Coastal Village

Swakopmund has so much to offer. Join a dolphin cruise, kayak amongst seals, give deep-sea fishing a try, or simply take a leisurely walk along the beach in the afternoon. Dine in the picturesque restaurants along the seaside promenade, have a walk through old-fashioned streets as you take in the colonial history around you. Visit the museum, enter an ocean wonderland at the National Marine Aquarium, or climb to the top of Woermann Haus for a prime view of the town.

Leave the Coastal Town behind as you head inland and north towards Damaraland. Damaraland is an exceptionally scenic landscape featuring open plains, ancient valleys and spectacular rock formations. The major attractions are the sacred Spitzkoppe, the Brandberg, Twyfelfontein, Vingerklip and the otherworldly Petrified Forest.

Exploring Damaraland

Exploring Damaraland

Today you can choose to explore the flora and fauna of the Damaraland on your own on a self-guided hiking trails. They are well marked and take you through the wildly romantic scenery of the Damara Mopane Lodge house mountain. Alternatively you can take a drive out to explore more of this incredibly scenic area. Upon returning to the lodge, make your way to the viewing platform where you can enjoy spectacular views and a sundowner drink.

Day 7

Safari Time

Safari Time

Today you make your way to Etosha Safari Lodge where you will end off your Namibian Journey with 2 nights here enjoying safari as well as some relaxation. The lodge, only ten kilometres from the Park's central entrance and a world away from the hustle and bustle. Days of animal wonder are balanced with comfort and care, creating an exceptional Etosha experience. Dine under a dome of stars on the outside veranda, sit next to a blazing fire or watch the red orb of the sun sink gracefully into the landscape from the sunset deck. The day couldn't be better. Game viewing in Etosha

Today experience game viewing in Etosha National park, or you can book an additional guided drive with the lodge (we recommend you pre-book this excursion). Etosha means the ”great white area” and refers to the huge salt pan. Subsequently, when it rains, the water pools in the pan and attracts hundreds of thousands of flamingos! The landscape is unique and varied and home to a wide variety of animals such as lion, elephant, giraffe, hyena, springbok, as well as many zebras, elands. Spend the day in the park and return to the lodge late afternoon.
